About the Tournament
The Stuart Smith Memorial Scholarship is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 2016 by the friends and family of Stuart Smith, a young man who tragically lost his life to suicide. Stuart was an avid outdoorsman who loved golf, fishing, music, and the Mississippi State University Bulldogs. He was an incredible friend who is greatly missed by all who knew him. Stuart’s parents and friends have worked tirelessly to raise awareness around mental health and suicide by organizing an annual golf tournament, Stuapalooza. Proceeds from the tournament go towards statewide suicide prevention programs, and two Madison County students are awarded a college scholarship each year.
Get Involved
Support Stuapalooza by signing up a team or sponsoring the tournament! Stuapalooza is a three-person scramble, shotgun style format with two teams to a hole. There are two tee times that teams can choose from: 8:00AM and 1:00PM.
The tournament includes three competitions: the Duck Shot, Hole in One, and the Cooler Challenge. Winners of these competitions are awarded prizes sponsored by local businesses.
